So let’s get to know Frankie and begin our interview with her:
What are your favorite subjects to blog about?
My life, my family and modeling always come the most naturally to me to write about.
When did you start your blog and what or who inspired you to begin blogging?
I started my blog last year and what prompted it was when people would meet me and their initial reactions. The couldn’t believe how down to earth I was. I would always take it as a compliment until it started happening way too much. I didn’t want people assuming I lead this glamorous, nothing negative ever happens type of lifestyle. I realized all my pretty pictures are girl boss quotes were giving off a different impression.
Don’t get me wrong..I am all I portray via social media but I am so multi faceted that it would take a lifetime to put me in a box. My blog definitely shows that and the feedback has been amazing. Being relatable is all I’ve ever wanted and that’s how I choose to inspire others.
What inspires you to write?
It depends. Sometimes its life changes or whats new in my life. Other times its just me feeling an unexplained amount of anxiety and writing it down helps me put things it to perspective.
Is it a full-time gig, or if not, would you like it to be?
Its not. I wish it was however I know it could be if I added the element of fashion. Which is my other passion and I know it would definitely make it boom. I am getting there.
Who are some of your favorite bloggers?
I feel like there are way too many to name. I read blogs about literally everything. Life, love, fashion, books.
Where do you see your blog in five years?
To be completely honest & frank: I have no idea. Blogging is an outlet not an outcome for me. In terms of goals, I would love it to be a popular read blog among those who are trying to find there way in anything in life. I have no time frame as to when I would like that to happen.
Who/What are your favorite clothing designers & brands?
By far Michael Costello, I love Tom Ford, Byron Lars . Brands I love would be Fame & Partners and Eloquii.
Is there anything you’d like to see in the fashion industry?
More inclusion. We have come such a long way but I would love it to go further and deeper. I want to see more high end plus size inclusive brands.
What are some of the projects you are working on / things you want to promote?
I am working on a clothing line TBA when that will be dropping. I have had so many setbacks however I am super committed to it and I cannot wait. Shout out to the many up-incoming designers out there. I definitely underestimated how real the struggle really is!
I also have a huge event coming up for my active lifestyle body positive brand Curvy ALLSTARS. We have just launched our site and there you can read all about our 6th event “ALLSTARS Weekend” May 10-12, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. www.curvyallstars.com or @curvyallstars on instagram.
Any tips/advice for fellow & new bloggers?
Be you, be your true original self and don’t hold back. The most successful and happiest people out there are the ones who live on their own terms. I can literally get lost in a blog for hours on end if I truly get connected to the writer. There’s something about a blog that you just know the blogger really poured themselves in to it. I have so many “in-my-head bff” blogger besties!
